On July 29, 2021 the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) Art Program unveiled a special exhibit celebrating the 10th anniversary of our BlackStar Film Festival. The exhibit, which will be on view in Terminal A-East of the airport until July 2022, features select photos from each of our festivals from 2012 – 2020, a note on our 10th anniversary, and a commemorative video edited by BlackStar.

“In celebration of BlackStar’s 10th anniversary, we are thrilled to share the incredible history of the organization through this new installation in partnership with Philadelphia International Airport. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity for this special behind-the-scenes look at the festival’s growth and evolution…” — Maori Karmael Holmes, Artistic Director and CEO of BlackStar.
