Nyla Daniel

Public Programs Manager

Nyla Daniel is a Philadelphia-based Event Curator and Producer with a commitment
to uplifting and supporting the Black arts community.

Nyla grew up in New Jersey and New York and then migrated to Philly to receive her Tourism and Hospitality degree from Temple University in 2015. After spending time getting to know and exploring Philly in college, she was confident that she wanted to make it home.

Throughout her career, she has successfully executed public-facing panel discussions, mural dedications, film screenings, interactive workshops, and more all over the city with organizations like the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation and Mural Arts Philadelphia.

She is the new and current Public Program Manager for BlackStar and is looking forward to learning and growing along with the organization.

When she’s not working, you can find her planning her next great escape to a tropical beach.
