Her worried father doesn’t think she can handle living alone in her new apartment but Jessica convinces him otherwise. But it’s a lie: Jessica fears sleeping. Jessica makes desperate attempts to protect herself at night. But the lines of dreams and reality blur when she starts experiencing strange occurrences in her apartment. Soon Jessica fears for her life. She goes to see a parapsychologist whose insight into demon folklore concerning sleep paralysis only makes things worse. Jessica refuses to believe that she is losing her mind or that her home is haunted but that denial turns out to be a horrifying mistake.
