Tshay Williams


Tshay Williams is a Philly-based filmmaker from Amityville, NY. She is the co-director of GALES, an episodic short set in Baltimore, which was funded by the Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund in 2019. Her debut short film WALKING WOUNDED premiered at the 2016 BlackStar Film Festival, where it won Favorite Youth Film and PhillyCAM’s inaugural Inclusion Award. Tshay is a 2016 CAMRA Fellow and a recipient of the Thouron Award and Sachs Arts Award. Tshay has worked with a number of community-oriented media organizations including BlackStar Film Festival and Scribe Video Center. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Ethnographic and Documentary Film from University College London. Tshay is currently a Producer at MING Media. She is in development on her debut narrative short WITH MY OWN HANDS.
