Still Processing The Forty-Year-Old Version

Featuring: Wesley Morris, Jenna Wortham, and Radha Blank

Written, directed by, and starring Radha Blank and produced by Lena Waithe, The Forty-Year-Old Version is a self-described “love letter to New York and its struggling artists as well as the New York artistic institutions that raised me – hip hop and theater.” Join culture writers Wesley Morris and Jenna Wortham in conversation with Blank, as they speak to the personal, cultural, and geopolitical nuances embedded in the film, Blank’s trajectory as an artist, as well as their kindred experiences being Black, Xennial, NYC-based cultural workers. Part live remix of Still Processing, part celebration of Blank’s feature directorial debut, this panel is sure to prompt reflection and delight about the perils and promises of NYC’s changing creative landscape.

This panel is free and open to the public. It will stream live with closed captioning on August 24th from this web page as well as BlackStar’s Facebook page.
