In his village where bread is rare, Ousseynou, a former fisherman, finds fragile stability selling stale bread to support his family. But when his sister-in-law opens a traditional bakery, silent tensions arise. Her success threatens not only his small business, but also his sense of purpose and position in the household.

Director

Yoro MBAYE is a Senegalese filmmaker and producer. His short films and documentaries explore social issues in Senegal and abroad. His recent work, “LEES WAXUL,” premiered in 2024. He also co-produced “La Nuit des Rois” and Alain Gomis’ “DAO,” and is developing his first feature, “Fagadaga.”
