Teaching America explores the battle around the teaching of African American studies from inside the classroom, focusing on the transformative journeys of the Arkansas students, teachers and families who are part of the inaugural classes of students taking AP African American studies nationwide.

Director

Anurima leads Anthem of Us, a strategic advisory firm that centers dignity and justice in schools, workplaces, and communities. She produces and advises documentaries, chairs the Doc Society Board, and serves on BGDM’s Capacity Council. She led civil rights enforcement in schools at the Justice Department and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
