Twenty Three is a visual interpretation of loss of childhood inspired by Alice in Wonderland and the IU song “Twenty-Three.” It follows the story of Yellow (symbolizing childhood and past) with eerie, cultural, playful and nostalgic elements.

Wasima Farah

Director

Wasima Farah is a Somali Visual Artist based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. She is a Graphic Designer and Creative Strategist at Soomaal House of Art, Creative Director at The Digital Sisterhood, Art Educator, and Actor. Her work explores themes of mother/daughter dynamics, womanhood, and storytelling through primary colors.

Kamyar Mohsenin

Director

Kamyar Mohsenin (b. 1998) is an Iranian/American filmmaker, visual artist, and educator based in Seattle, Washington by way of Santa Cruz California and Pahoa, Hawaii. His films and animations often explore spirituality, natural landscapes, and the intimate threads between ritual, faith, and belonging.
