Rashida Bumbray

Rashida Bumbray is a curator, choreographer and performer. In 2022, she curated Loophole of Retreat: Venice. From 2015-2022, she led global arts funding at the Open Society Foundations. As Director of Culture & Art, she launched and spearheaded the Foundation's first grantmaking program focused on supporting artists, cultural producers, and organizations from diverse disciplines throughout the Global South and historically underfunded communities. She is a Bessie-nominated choreographer, a United States Artist Fellow, and a CPP Artist in Residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
