Alex Aljouni

Director

Raised during the war in Syria, Alex Aljouni is a writer-director whose films explore memory, identity, and the emotional weight of displacement. She studied film at UCLA, graduating magna cum laude, and is now pursuing her MFA at NYU. With a unique perspective shaped by her heritage, Alex is dedicated to telling grounded, human stories.
