Bio

Heidi Saman

Heidi Saman is Editor-in-Chief of Seen and Program Director at BlackStar Projects. Her first feature film, Namour, was acquired by ARRAY and won the LA Muse Jury Award at the 2016 Los Angeles Film Festival. Saman’s short film, The Maid (الشخالة), premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. She was a longtime producer for National Public Radio’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross. She is preparing to make her second feature film.
